ASSESSMENT
This is a necessary step so I can get an idea of your child’s current skill profile. Typically this is done within the first session. Assessment will usually be done informally*, through activities and play, as this is usually sufficient to provide the information necessary.

You are welcome to sit in so that you can verify whether the child I see in session is representative of your child in real life. This can help to ensure the assessment results are as accurate as possible. At the end of the assessment, you will be briefed on the results, then there will be a two-way discussion to set goals for your child based on the results as well as your particular set of concerns. After that, intervention sessions can begin.
*In cases where reports are required, formal assessments in the form of standardised batteries of tests can be administered.
