This is a necessary step so I can get an idea of your child’s current skill profile. Typically this is done within the first session. Assessment will usually be done informally*, through activities and play, as this is usually sufficient to provide the information necessary.
This is when I actively work on achieving the speech therapy goals we have set. The frequency and number of intervention sessions recommended will depend on your child’s needs.
You are welcome to sit in so that you can better learn how to support your child. However, if this is not possible or not suitable for your child in particular, your child can be seen alone.
Sessions (assessment and intervention) will be run at my personal clinic. If schedule permits, I am able to provide intervention at your home, or your child’s school (the school’s permission is required).
This is usually required when submitting paperwork to formal bodies like the school or Ministry of Education, for purposes such as school admission application or application for special accommodations for your child.

This is a short note that can be given to a doctor or another therapist stating basic information such as assessment date & diagnosis, or requests for more services/referrals.
Should you require additional professional advice outside of scheduled sessions, consultations can be booked in 30 minute slots, both in person, video call or voice call.
